Position Overview

Ignite Talent Solutions is representing a prominent organization specializing in senior care. They are currently seeking a qualified Assistant Director of Care for their newly established facility in Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Director of Care (DOC) and oversee the organization and scheduling of resident care operations in accordance with relevant regulations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring a supportive environment that promotes the health and well-being of both residents and staff.
  • Managing the recruitment, onboarding, ongoing training, supervision, and performance assessments of nursing personnel.
  • Serving as a representative and role model for the facility in all interactions with the community, residents, visitors, staff, and volunteers.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a leadership or supervisory role within a healthcare environment.
  • A current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse.
  • Educational background in nursing, nursing administration, and gerontology, with a preference for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Demonstrated progressive leadership skills and a hands-on approach to monitoring and assessing resident care.
