Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Director of Care to join our team at Ignite Talent Solutions. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and scheduling of resident care activities, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and maintaining a positive atmosphere that promotes the optimal health and well-being of residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the hiring, orientation, continuing education, supervision, and performance evaluation of nursing staff.
- Act as an ambassador and role model for the facility, promoting a positive image and interacting with the community, residents, visitors, staff, and volunteers.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care and services.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and resident satisfaction.
- Monitor and evaluate resident care, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Registered Nurse in a managerial or supervisory capacity in the healthcare setting.
- Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse.
- Education in nursing, nursing administration, and gerontology.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing and experience demonstrating progressive leadership and hands-on approach to monitoring and evaluating resident care.
