About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Private Banker to join our team at Scotiabank. As a Private Banker, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with high net worth clients, providing them with customized commercial lending solutions and wealth management services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Develop and maintain relationships with high net worth clients to understand their financial needs and goals.
    • Provide personalized service and advice to clients to help them achieve their financial objectives.
  • Commercial Lending
    • Assess and manage credit risk for commercial lending transactions.
    • Develop and implement customized commercial lending solutions for clients.
  • Wealth Management
    • Provide wealth management services to clients, including investment advice and portfolio management.
    • Develop and implement customized wealth management plans for clients.
  • Business Development
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the client base.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with business partners and other stakeholders to support business growth.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of commercial lending or small business banking experience.
    • Established network of high net worth clients in the Canadian banking industry.
  • Skills
    • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and business development skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Education
    • University degree (BComm, MBA, CFA), in addition to industry courses (e.g. CSC, PFP, CFP) is an asset.
