We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Private Banker to join our team at Scotiabank. As a Private Banker, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with high net worth clients, providing them with customized financial solutions and services.
Key Responsibilities- Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with high net worth clients, understanding their financial needs and goals.
- Provide personalized financial solutions and services to clients, including customized lending, risk management, and wealth management.
- Business Development
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to acquire new clients.
- Grow existing client relationships through cross-selling and upselling of financial products and services.
- Credit Risk Management
- Assess and manage credit risk for clients, ensuring that credit facilities operate within authorized terms and conditions.
- Develop sound commercial underwriting skills to ensure that credit facilities are properly structured and managed.
- Operational Effectiveness
- Provide direction and guidance to team members, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Review and resolve client concerns and issues, ensuring that the Bank's Customer Complaint Resolution Process is in place and effective.
- Experience
- Minimum 5 years of commercial lending or small business banking experience, with a focus on high net worth clients.
- Established network of high net worth clients in the Canadian banking industry.
- Skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and business development skills.
- Strong knowledge of financial products and services, including customized lending, risk management, and wealth management.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and French.
