Camp Security Officer

As a vital member of our security team at Paladin Security, the Camp Security Officer plays a crucial role in safeguarding personnel, assets, and the environment at our operational site. This position is essential for maintaining a secure atmosphere and preventing incidents that could jeopardize the safety and integrity of our operations. Our comprehensive security strategy is designed to mitigate various risks, including negligence, accidents, criminal activities, and unprofessional behavior.
  • Access Management: Conduct thorough verification of all individuals and vehicles entering the premises.
  • Equipment Verification: Ensure all tools and materials exiting the site are properly documented through the verification process.
  • Inspections: Perform initial inspections of all incoming personnel and vehicles, with detailed searches conducted as necessary.
  • Patrol Duties: Execute random mobile patrols across all site perimeters and facilities, including foot patrols of specific areas after hours.
  • ID Management: All entrants must be registered and provided with identification to access the site.
  • Traffic Regulation: Implement traffic enforcement measures using radar and other tools.
  • Policy Enforcement: Uphold all company policies through targeted security measures.
  • Traffic Coordination: Manage traffic flow during peak times and emergency situations.
  • Incident Communication: Maintain 24/7 communication regarding security incidents.
  • Emergency Response: Lead and manage security responses to incidents and emergencies, conducting necessary investigations.
  • Data Collection: Gather and report statistics on various security-related activities.
Qualifications:
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License.
  • Physical capability to stand and patrol for extended periods.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with team members, clients, and emergency services.
  • Enthusiasm for active work in diverse weather conditions and terrains.
  • Experience in handling emergency situations, including trauma and aggression.
  • Basic technological proficiency for report writing and communication.
Additional Information:
  • Shifts: 12-hour shifts on a 2-week on, 2-week off rotation.
  • Accommodations: Provided during on-shift periods.
  • Compensation: $22.50 per hour.
