About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Disability Support Worker. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their goals and becoming more independent in a private residential or group home setting.
  • Support individuals in developing skills such as personal care, housekeeping, and budgeting, as well as promoting inclusion in community activities.
  • Link individuals to community support services and employment coaching, such as resume building and job searches.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Grade 12 diploma or diploma in Disability Studies or related Social Sciences/Human Services.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license, suitable Driver's Abstract, proof of insurability, and own vehicle.
  • First Aid/CPR, Restrictive Procedures, Abuse Protocols, and Non Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention certifications.
