About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at WJS Canada. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their goals and becoming more independent in their community.
  • Support individuals with daily living tasks, such as personal care, housekeeping, and meal planning.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to promote inclusion and participation in community activities.
  • Link individuals to community resources and services, such as employment coaching and volunteer opportunities.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma or diploma in Disability Studies or related Social Sciences/Human Services.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license, suitable Driver's Abstract, proof of insurability, and own vehicle.
  • First Aid/CPR, Restrictive Procedures, Abuse Protocols, and Non Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention training.
