Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at WJS Canada. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in a private residential or group home setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their goals and becoming more independent and involved in their community.
  • Support individuals with daily living skills, such as personal care, housekeeping, and meal planning.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to promote inclusion and community participation.
  • Link individuals to community support services and employment coaching.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma or diploma in Disability Studies or related Social Sciences/Human Services.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license, suitable Driver's Abstract, proof of insurability, and own vehicle.
  • First Aid/CPR, Restrictive Procedures, Abuse Protocols, Non Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention.
