Accounts Management Professional

We are seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our team at HIGHMILES TRUCK & TRAILER SERVICE LTD.. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes.
Education Requirements- Completion of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is mandatory.
- Calculate and manage fixed assets along with their depreciation.
- Maintain and balance various accounts using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Prepare and maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
- Post journal entries accurately.
- Generate statistical, financial, and accounting reports as required.
- Prepare trial balances for books.
- Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Office is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and capability to work under pressure.
- Must be organized and possess excellent time management skills.
- Accuracy in work is crucial.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Engagement in initiatives that support Indigenous people is valued.
- Mentorship and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers are encouraged.
- Building relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations is essential.
- Providing cultural competency training to foster an inclusive work environment.
- Facilitating access to Elders for support and guidance is appreciated.
