Senior Accounting Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at ONBusiness Chartered Professional Accountants Inc. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients by preparing and completing financial statements and tax returns in accordance with professional standards.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare review and notice to reader working paper files, conduct external financial statement audits, and perform financial and systems analysis.
- Tax Return Preparation: Prepare more complex corporate, personal, and trust income tax returns, and ensure compliance with tax legislation.
- Client Service: Provide guidance to Junior Accountants, maintain a positive relationship with shareholders, clients, and the ONBusiness team, and take ownership of client relationships.
- Training and Development: Train articling students and provide guidance on accounting and tax matters.
- Operational Efficiency: Ensure the efficient completion and documentation of files, including the preparation of year-end files, and maintain accurate and complete records.
- Professional Designation: CPA Designation or equivalent experience with formal training in accounting and tax.
- Accounting and Tax Experience: Hands-on experience in accounting, corporate, and personal tax preparation, with a solid knowledge of corporation tax, personal tax, and accounting and bookkeeping.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Simply Accounting, Caseware, Profile, and Jazz-It.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication, verbal, written, and electronic, with a positive attitude and a desire to exceed expectations.
- Time Management and Organization: Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and coordinate multiple tasks.
