Position Summary:

The Director, Ancillary Revenue & Business Development will report to the Vice-President, Operations Services and is responsible for the management and execution of revenue generating programs. The Director will strategically oversee current revenue contracts as well as identify and implement new regional and national financial growth opportunities. They will also be responsible for leading and supporting the team, and investigating software and technology opportunities to support and track ancillary contract terms and conditions. In addition, the Director will work closely with Operations and all other departmental units to enhance and promote ancillary revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute a growth strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  2. Lead and mentor the Ancillary & Business Development unit to drive sales performance
  3. Conduct thorough analysis of existing contracts to evaluate performance, service, and revenue
  4. Identify and pursue new revenue streams aligned with customer needs
  5. Establish property site visits to monitor and enhance existing and new ancillary opportunities
  6. Direct and plan processes and procedures to maximize revenue potential
  7. Negotiate renewals and pursue new ancillary business opportunities
  8. Collaborate with Risk Department to ensure legal and risk requirements are met
  9. Lead in financial forecasting and budget preparation to meet company goals
  10. Support vendor meetings and discussions
  11. Effectively communicate and roll out programs to stakeholders
  12. Investigate and implement software and technology opportunities to support contract database management
  13. Continuously investigate strategic ancillary opportunities
  14. Lead in coordinating regular update meetings with executive team and internal partners
Requirements:
  1. Demonstrated experience in managing suppliers and developing ongoing relationships
  2. Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive, or relevant role
  3. Understanding of the Multi-residential sector
  4. Market knowledge
  5. Strong analytical and leadership skills
  6. Excellent communication and presentation skills
  7. Ability to coach and mentor teams and provide productive feedback
  8. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence and motivate
  9. Strong selling skills and focus on customer service
