Position Overview

The Food Service Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining establishment. This position requires a blend of leadership, organization, and customer service skills to maintain high standards of food quality and service.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is mandatory.
Work Environment

The work environment may involve exposure to various odours typical of a food service setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective methods to achieve work schedules.
  • Order food and kitchen supplies as needed.
  • Oversee and coordinate the activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
  • Provide training to staff regarding their job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
  • Assess the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Ensure that food quality and service meet established standards.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports as required.
  • Establish and manage work schedules for staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This role involves supervising a team of approximately 3-4 individuals.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to bend, crouch, and kneel as necessary.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
