About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Support Specialist to join our team at U V Conn Inc. as a User Support Technician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance and support to users experiencing difficulties with computer systems, software, and other technology-related issues.
  • Research and implement solutions to complex technical problems, utilizing technical manuals, user guides, and other resources as needed.
  • Offer advice and training to users to help them overcome technical difficulties and improve their overall productivity.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain a comprehensive problems and solutions log to facilitate knowledge sharing among technical support analysts.
  • Supervise and lead a team of technical support workers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Provide business systems, network, and Internet support to users, ensuring seamless access to critical business applications and resources.
  • Configure and set up equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, and software.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, responding to user inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Work Environment
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high expectations.
  • Collaborate with a team of technical support professionals to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Utilize public transportation to commute to work.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in a technical support role, with a strong background in computer systems, software, and network administration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with users at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to research and implement complex technical solutions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college or CEGEP degree preferred.
