Job Summary

About the Role:

The Catering Dispatcher plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of catering orders. As a key member of the Compass Canada team, you will be responsible for coordinating with drivers and the kitchen to guarantee timely and accurate delivery of orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and organize all orders for the day, ensuring each item is accounted for and correct.
  • Conduct quality control checks on food orders prior to delivery to clients.
  • Monitor drivers' progress throughout the day, adjusting delivery routes as needed.
  • Organize orders into racks for drivers in the correct order.
  • Manage the organization of fridges and label orders for the following day.
  • Communicate with Events Managers and Corporate Sales teams regarding order changes or delays.
  • Prepare items for the next day, including paper products, coffee, and tea setups, and chafing dish preparation.
  • Delegate last-minute changes and errands to drivers.
  • Maintain a tidy and stocked operations area, including the beverage fridge.
  • Monitor stock and beverage levels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred industry experience.
  • Availability to work weekends.
  • A valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Physical ability to perform duties of the position.
