About the Role

The Catering Dispatcher plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of food orders for our clients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating with drivers and the kitchen to guarantee timely and accurate delivery of orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Order Management: Verify and confirm orders daily, ensuring all items are accounted for and correct. Notify the relevant team member of any discrepancies and ensure they are addressed promptly.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on food orders prior to delivery to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Driver Support: Monitor drivers' progress throughout the day, adjusting delivery routes as needed to ensure timely completion.
  • Order Organization: Organize orders into racks for drivers in the correct order, ensuring efficient delivery.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the organization of fridges, label orders for the next day, and maintain a tidy and stocked operations area.
  • Communication: Collaborate with the Events Manager and Corporate Sales team to address any changes or delays in orders.
  • Preparation: Prepare items for the next day, including paper products, coffee, and tea setups, as well as chafing dish preparation.
  • Delegate Tasks: Assign last-minute changes and additional errands to drivers as needed.
  • Stock Management: Monitor stock and beverage levels to ensure adequate supplies.
About You
  • You possess excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with the team.
  • You have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • You are physically able to perform the duties of the position.
