Overview:

Are you skilled at engaging with diverse individuals? Great Canadian Entertainment is seeking a Casino Gaming Associate to enhance our dynamic environment. Under the guidance of the Gaming Manager, the Gaming Associate will undertake various responsibilities, including customer interaction, card management, cash transactions, jackpot processing, game facilitation, and meticulous documentation, all while fostering a secure and inviting atmosphere for all staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet, assist, and serve patrons promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure accountability for inventory, assets, and cash floats as assigned.
  • Manage bingo paper inventory, prepare floats, distribute cards, and assist with session preparations.
  • Operate essential equipment and computerized systems efficiently.
  • Accurately calculate and input game payouts into the operating systems.
  • Safeguard and oversee all areas of the gaming cage, including guest service stations and inventory.
  • Process jackpot payments and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Address guest inquiries, sales, card verification, and inventory checks with professionalism and adherence to cash handling protocols.
  • Inspect equipment and terminals before sessions to ensure proper functionality.
  • Stay informed about schedules, staffing, session formats, promotions, and special offerings.
  • Maintain adequate supplies of necessary inventory and products.
  • Complete financial deposits, data entry, session reports, and other required documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with guests to provide a pleasant gaming experience.
  • Foster positive relationships with colleagues to maintain a supportive work environment.
  • Adhere to licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of professional experience as a card dealer, particularly in Black Jack.
  • Minimum of 2 years of cash handling experience in a customer service role.
  • Proficient in using computers and operating equipment such as adding machines and currency counters.
  • Ability to obtain a Gaming Worker license successfully.
  • Strong communication skills to exceed guest expectations.
  • Professional demeanor, excellent interpersonal skills, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and organizational abilities.
  • Dependable and committed to service excellence.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • SIR certification required.
