About the Role:

Citibank Canada is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Commercial Banking Relationship Manager, Director to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial Banking group, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, identifying new business opportunities, and providing expert advice on financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with existing and new clients, identifying opportunities to grow our business and increase revenue.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives, including identifying new markets and opportunities for growth.
  • Provide expert advice on financial solutions, including cash management, trade finance, and investment products.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, product, and risk teams, to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of client interactions, including meeting notes, emails, and phone calls.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact our business.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our clients' businesses, including their financials, operations, and strategic objectives.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with client relationships, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales, product, and risk teams, to ensure seamless delivery of client solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure our business remains competitive and compliant.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in commercial banking, with a strong focus on relationship management and business development.
  • Proven track record of success in building and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, products, and services, including cash management, trade finance, and investment products.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with client relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry trends, with the ability to stay up-to-date with changes and developments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including sales, product, and risk teams, to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as business, finance, or economics.
  • Professional certifications, such as CFA or CAIA, are an asset.
