Position:
Inside Technical Sales Representative

Overview:
The role is based in a dynamic environment where the focus is on providing exceptional technical sales support. This position involves engaging with clients to deliver tailored solutions and ensuring a seamless sales process.

Key Responsibilities:

Quoting:
  • Generate and dispatch quotes to clients and sales teams.
  • Utilize ERP systems for creating part numbers, building BOMs, and managing orders.
  • Analyze customer RFQs to propose optimal solutions while comprehending the application requirements.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients regarding their inquiries and product specifications.

  • Conduct regular follow-ups with clients on submitted quotes, tracking progress until conversion to orders.
  • Source quotes from vendors for materials needed in custom conveyor belt fabrication.
  • Compile reports on processed quotes.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office Suite and possess the ability to interpret technical drawings and measurements.
  • Focus on promoting and selling core product offerings.
  • Facilitate technical communication between management, production, sales, and affiliates regarding new techniques or practices in product utilization.

Orders:
  • Responsible for generating invoices for customers post-shipment.
  • Process customer order requests via phone and email, ensuring timely follow-ups to meet delivery expectations.
  • Provide customer support through effective communication regarding purchase orders and invoicing.
  • Enhance customer experience by managing order processing efficiently, confirming product availability, and coordinating shipping schedules.

  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in processing order requests.
  • Assist customers with order inquiries and collaborate with other departments for prompt responses.
  • Maintain comprehensive customer files and manage accounts receivable records.
  • Adhere to KPIs for performance monitoring.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:
  • Completion of OSSD or equivalent.
  • Sales certification or relevant experience is advantageous.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
  • 2-5 years of experience in technical inside sales.
  • Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
  • Effective use of technology, tools, and information systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, teamwork, time management, and interpersonal skills.
