Position Summary: The Finance Director is pivotal in guaranteeing the precision of all financial data for CI's asset management divisions. This role encompasses financial accounting, comprehensive analysis, and detailed reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management and Reporting:

  1. Supervise the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closure procedures for all asset management divisions.
  2. Evaluate journal entries, working papers, and analyses prepared by the accounting team.
  3. Ensure thorough review and assessment of P&L and balance sheet discrepancies, collaborating closely with the FP&A team and various departments.
  4. Manage quarterly and annual regulatory submissions, partnering with the Legal department to ensure timely and accurate documentation.
  5. Coordinate with internal and external auditors during all audit processes, ensuring effective collaboration.
  6. Engage with other Finance teams and internal departments to collect and share information necessary for supporting financial outcomes.
  7. Undertake special projects as needed (e.g., report generation, process enhancements, system upgrades/implementations).

Leadership and Team Development:

  1. Foster a culture of inclusivity, high performance, and continuous improvement that prioritizes learning and a commitment to excellence.
  2. Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the accounting and finance team, supporting the ongoing development of team members.

Qualifications:

  1. CPA designation required.
  2. A minimum of 7 years in progressively senior accounting roles.
  3. Strong foundation in accounting principles.
  4. Exceptional attention to detail.
  5. Highly organized with the ability to adapt to changing timelines.
  6. Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  7. Excellent communication and management skills, capable of effective interaction with cross-functional teams.
  8. Proven leadership skills and team management experience.
  9. Prior experience in the asset management industry is preferred.
