About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our JLABS, Canada site as the Head of Innovation and Partnerships. This is a unique opportunity to join the J&J Family of Companies and drive innovation and partnerships in the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Set the strategic direction for JLABS, Canada and oversee all portfolio and business operational activities.
  • Team Management: Lead a team of diverse functional experts and foster innovation and deep scientific/drug and device development.
  • Business Development: Source, evaluate, and select companies for the JLABS Toronto site.
  • Financial Management: Deliver financial forecasts and performance, including revenues and operational expenditures.
  • External Relations: Maintain strong relationships with site and regional partner organizations, venture capital, angel funds, government agencies, and other non-dilutive funders.
  • Spokesperson: Function as the spokesperson for the site and relevant subject matter expert.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 15 years of experience in senior program management, with a track record in the pharma and/or medical device products industries.
  • Education: An advanced degree (MBA and/or a MD or PhD) is preferred.
  • Skills: Experience in the evaluation and execution of a diverse set of business development opportunities, with strong leadership and communication skills.
