Job Purpose: The Sales Development Specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of our Global Sales Organization by generating new business opportunities within potential customer accounts. This position involves promoting Limelight's comprehensive range of solutions in the Content Delivery, Online Video Platform, Cloud Storage, and Security sectors. The Sales Development Specialist will engage with leads, assess their potential, identify key stakeholders, and collaborate closely with Limelight's Sales and Marketing teams to build a robust sales pipeline.
Essential Functions:
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through various channels, including marketing leads, prospecting, live chat, and inbound calls, while meeting designated activity targets and performance metrics.
  • Effectively communicate Limelight's value proposition, leveraging business development expertise, sales acumen, and enthusiasm to drive lead qualification and facilitate appointments between prospects and Limelight Sales Associates.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Limelight's unique offerings within the SaaS landscape.
  • Work in tandem with Limelight's Global Business Development Executives and Sales Managers to pinpoint qualified opportunities.
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive records of leads, contacts, accounts, and sales activities within Limelight's Salesforce automation platform.
  • Engage with the Marketing team to continually enhance lead generation strategies.
Qualifications:
Experience and Education (minimums)
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, or Computer Science.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Goal-oriented and self-driven.
  • Resourceful, productive, and possesses a positive demeanor.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities.
  • Proven capability to effectively engage with business professionals, including IT, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and C-level executives.
  • Demonstrated high activity in sales, including significant call volume, pipeline expansion, and lead generation.
  • Consistently meeting and surpassing monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Familiarity with video streaming or content delivery services, digital marketing, interactive services, digital rights management, content management, web analytics, or web hosting is preferred.
  • Experience with CRM software (preferably Salesforce).
