About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at SANDHER TRUCK & TRAILER REPAIR LTD. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing heavy trucks, ensuring they are in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Use computerized and other testing equipment to detect faults and malfunctions in heavy trucks.
  • Diagnose and Repair Faults: Determine the extent of repair required and make necessary adjustments to equipment.
  • Perform Maintenance Work: Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance tasks to ensure trucks are in good working condition.
  • Repair and Test Equipment: Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a noisy environment, standing for extended periods, and performing physical tasks such as bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A certificate or diploma in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work, requiring attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability and ability to work as part of a team.
Work Environment

Our shop is a fast-paced environment where you will be working on heavy trucks. You will be required to stand for extended periods, work in a noisy environment, and perform physical tasks.
