Job Summary:

The Director of Human Resources will lead the development and implementation of HR strategies that align with the company's business objectives. This role will be responsible for fostering a connected corporate culture, driving training strategies, and enhancing HRB Canada's commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Culture: Collaborate with the HR team to maintain a strong corporate culture that aligns with the company's values.
  • Human Resources Strategy: Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive HR strategy that supports business objectives.
  • Training: Drive training strategies for all employees, including best practices, content, and agile delivery methods.
  • DEIB: Enhance HRB Canada's commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Talent Management: Collaborate with business leaders to evaluate, cultivate, maintain, and acquire the necessary talent to meet the organization's needs.
  • Succession Planning: Lead, coach, and support the team to provide growth opportunities for high-potential individual contributors and people leaders.
  • Alignment and Compliance: Establish and implement a consistent approach to employment records to ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Legal matters: Lead or assist with complaint resolution in all provinces.
  • Recruitment and Retention: Develop exceptional sourcing, recruitment, recognition, onboarding, and retention strategies for corporate office employees.
  • Communication: Establish effective communication channels from the HR department to the entire organization.

Key Qualifications:

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field in Human Resources, Adult Education, or a similar discipline.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in various HR areas, with at least 10 years in people management and agile learning delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with strategic business needs.
  • Excellent English and French verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong personal leadership qualities and a solid understanding of business operations.
  • A forward-thinking mindset and the ability to positively influence and drive organizational change.
  • Capable of partnering with and influencing senior leaders, as well as building relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Committed to delivering excellent HR services and operational excellence.
