Job Summary

As a Business Development Representative at Royal Bank of Canada, you will play a key role in supporting the Group Benefits Solutions strategy by creating and maintaining Group Contracts for our clients. We are seeking a dynamic individual who will help drive results to achieve high levels of client satisfaction, contributing positively to persistency and reputation in the Group Insurance market place.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create new Group Policy Contracts and Employee Booklets, as well as generate any Amendments or Extra Contractual Letters required
  • Input plan design details into the GBS Vantage system
  • Collaborate with internal partners and team members to ensure work is completed within SLAs
  • Manage high volumes and prioritize and reprioritize assigned tasks
  • Ensure compliance with audit, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements
  • Support the Group New Business Ops team with any other associated tasks, as required
Requirements
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience in a high volume/high intensity customer service environment
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work with French documents
  • Adaptability to changes in processes and procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks on multiple systems effectively and efficiently
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in French and English written
  • Post-secondary education (i.e. community college, university preferred)
  • Group insurance knowledge
  • Any experience with Hot Docs, GBS Vantage, or GBS Workflow
