Job Title: Business Development Representative

AGAT Laboratories is a leading full-service laboratory with a strong presence across Canada. We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Representative to promote our portfolio of services and drive business growth.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the sales function, including identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with existing clients, and implementing sales and marketing initiatives to drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Solicit new business opportunities and identify sales opportunities to improve AGAT Laboratories' position in the market.
  • Maintain strong relationships with current clients and identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell services.
  • Implement account and/or category specific sales and marketing initiatives to drive revenue growth.
  • Manage business relationships with assigned accounts and generate new business in alignment with our objectives and values.
  • Support annual business and territory plans for assigned territories to achieve our annual budgeted sales objectives.
  • Prepare category and business reviews and leverage insights to identify sales opportunities and improve our category position.
  • Attend industry workshops, professional associations, and tradeshows to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Monitor competitive market activity and gather and communicate competitive information to inform sales strategies.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in science, such as chemistry, geology, or engineering, or in business is preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in outside sales, preferably in a B2B sales environment.
  • Professional, positive, and outgoing demeanor with excellent relationship building skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills required, fluency in French would be an asset.
  • Ability to deliver clear and concise sales presentations.
  • Strong analytical, planning, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with standard office Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
  • Unquestionable work ethic and ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
