Therapeutic Music Specialist

As a Music Therapist at Nova Scotia Health Authority, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through the power of music. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver therapeutic music services tailored to the unique needs of each individual, ensuring their dignity and personal abilities are respected.
Qualifications- Possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy
- Registered member of the Canadian Association of Music Therapy
- At least one year of clinical experience, ideally with the elderly population
- Skilled in playing piano or guitar, with vocal abilities and improvisation skills
- Strong communication skills, capable of working independently or collaboratively
- Ability to engage positively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals
- Exhibits critical thinking and sound decision-making abilities
- Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of languages, with a preference for French
- Permanent Part-time position, requiring 15 hours biweekly
