Position Overview

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional nursing care? We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse who is committed to providing empathetic patient support to take on the role of Patient Care Coordinator.

The Patient Care Coordinator is instrumental in managing the processes of patient admission, discharge, and transfers, ensuring seamless coordination of care when required. This position plays a vital role in optimizing patient flow through effective bed management, guaranteeing appropriate staffing levels, and ensuring that patients receive high-quality care. The Coordinator also aids Program Leaders in upholding and enhancing patient care standards and is responsible for overseeing operations in the absence of senior management.

Work Schedule

Rotating shifts: Days and Nights, from 07:00 to 19:00 and 19:00 to 07:00.

Compensation

The updated wage is: $63.47/hour.

The healthcare facility is a comprehensive 50-bed institution providing a wide range of services, including inpatient care, emergency services, respiratory therapy, rehabilitation, surgical procedures, obstetrics, gynecology, laboratory services, medical imaging, and cancer treatment. It serves as the orthopedic and trauma center for the northeastern region.

Qualifications Required
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current registration with the appropriate nursing regulatory body.
  • A minimum of five years of recent experience in acute care, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and supervisory experience is advantageous.
  • NRP certification or willingness to obtain within one year.
  • ACLS/TNCC certification or willingness to obtain within one year.
  • PALS certification is a plus.

  • Proven clinical proficiency and leadership capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to foster a safe environment for patient care.
  • Capacity to build and maintain effective working relationships with all healthcare team members.
  • Skill in managing public relations with patients' families and friends.
  • Aptitude for conflict resolution and independent problem-solving.
  • Physical capability to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.
