Healthcare Patient Coordinator

The Patient Care Coordinator is instrumental in managing the processes of patient admission, discharge, and transfers, ensuring seamless coordination of care. This role optimizes patient flow through effective bed management, maintains appropriate staffing levels, and guarantees that patients receive top-notch care. Additionally, the Patient Care Coordinator aids Program Leaders in upholding patient care standards and oversees departmental operations in the absence of senior management.
Work ScheduleRotating shifts: Days and Nights, from 07:00 to 19:00 and 19:00 to 07:00.
CompensationThe updated wage is set at $63.47/hour.
About the OrganizationThis healthcare facility is a 50-bed institution providing comprehensive services, including inpatient care, emergency services, rehabilitation, surgical procedures, and specialized medical imaging. It serves as a key orthopedic and trauma center in the region.

- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current registration with the relevant nursing regulatory body.
- A minimum of five years of recent experience in acute care, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and supervisory experience is advantageous.
- NRP certification or willingness to obtain within one year.
- ACLS/TNCC certification or willingness to complete within one year.
- PALS certification is considered an asset.
- Proven clinical expertise and leadership capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to foster a safe patient care environment.
- Capacity to build and maintain effective working relationships within the healthcare team.
- Proficient in managing public relations with patients' families and friends.
- Adept at conflict resolution and independent problem-solving.
- Physical capability to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.
