We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs
- Develop and implement effective care plans to meet patients' needs and promote optimal health outcomes
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
- Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
- Current Level C CPR certification
- Two years recent medical/surgical experience (for Ambulatory Care/Endoscopy/Cancer Care)
- Two years recent ER experience (for Emergency Department)
- Completion of a post-graduate Critical Care Course or two years recent experience in an equivalent setting (for Intensive Care Unit)
- Two years recent related experience with a significant labour and delivery component (for Labour and Delivery/Recovery/Post Partum)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and organize patient care
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
