Railway Signaling and Communication Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Signal and Communication Foreperson to join our team in Western Canada. As a key member of our S&C construction team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing railroad signaling and communications equipment.
As a Signal and Communication Foreperson, you will work closely with our team to ensure compliance with all REMCAN and customer safety policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for demonstrating proficiency in all aspects of railway industry and signal operations.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair railroad signaling and communications equipment
- Ensure compliance with all REMCAN and customer safety policies and procedures
- Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of railway industry and signal operations
- Work closely with the team to achieve project goals and objectives
- Minimum 2 years' rail experience installing and/or maintaining S&C systems
- Basic knowledge of electrical fundamentals
- Experience operating heavy equipment on-and-off track is an asset
- Valid Class 5 or Class G driver's license and ability to produce a driver's abstract
- Knowledge of and recent qualification in Canadian Railway Operating Rules (CROR)
- Must pass eRailSafe Canada certification
- Able to pass pre-employment medical which includes drug and alcohol screening
- Able to demonstrate an ability to work unsupervised as well as in teams
- Able to work various shifts as required, including weekends and night shifts
- Able to work in various weather conditions all year round
- Ability and willingness to travel to remote work locations as required
