Position Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Signals and Communication Foreperson to join our team in Western Canada for the upcoming maintenance and construction season. In this role, you will collaborate with a team to perform physical tasks related to the installation, upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of railway signaling and communication systems. You will also be responsible for responding to emergencies and managing track outages.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures set forth by REMCAN and our clients.
- Exhibit proficiency in all facets of railway operations and signaling systems.
- Conduct hands-on work that may involve moderate to heavy physical labor.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the railway sector, specifically in the installation and maintenance of S&C systems.
- Basic understanding of electrical principles; an Electrical Technician diploma is advantageous.
- Experience in operating heavy machinery both on and off the tracks is preferred.
- Possession of a valid Class 5 or Class G driver's license, with the ability to provide a driver's abstract.
- Familiarity with and recent certification in Canadian Railway Operating Rules (CROR).
- Must successfully complete eRailSafe Canada certification.
- Capable of passing a pre-employment medical examination, including drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and nights, and in diverse weather conditions throughout the year.
- Readiness to travel to remote job sites as necessary.
