We are seeking a dedicated Network and IoT Specialist to enhance our Technology Division at Plan Group, recognized for integrating cutting-edge technologies into our operations. This role is ideal for an individual who is adept at troubleshooting and excels in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

As a Network and IoT Specialist, your contributions will be vital in overseeing our network and IoT systems, ensuring their efficient functioning and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit expertise in configuring and managing firewalls, switches, virtual machines, and servers.
  • Address Layer 3 (L3) networking challenges and undertake advanced system management tasks.
  • Diagnose and rectify complex network problems to maintain peak performance and reliability.
  • Ensure exceptional network security and connectivity standards, protecting the integrity of our infrastructure.
  • Set up, test, deploy, and support IoT devices, facilitating seamless network integration.
  • Provide L3 support for managed network and IoT devices to guarantee their effective operation.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects to design and implement resilient, scalable network solutions.
  • Keep accurate documentation of network modifications, configurations, and updates.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in network infrastructure setup and management.
  • Familiarity with networking protocols such as IPSEC, HSRP, IGMP, OSPF, 802.11, and QoS.
  • Possession of relevant enterprise certifications like CCNP, CCIE, CWNA, ECSE, etc., is a plus.
  • Strong foundation in cloud deployment and architecture.
  • Willingness to travel within Canada for network support and collaboration.
  • Proficiency in server hardware installation and configuration.
  • In-depth knowledge of IoT, including architecture, security, hardware, and sensor technology.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in the construction sector.
