We are seeking a dedicated Network and IoT Specialist to become an integral part of the Plan Group Technology Division, recognized for its innovative approach to technology integration within the business landscape. This role is ideal for a candidate who is adept at problem-solving and thrives in a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment.
As a Network and IoT Specialist, your expertise will be vital in overseeing our network and IoT systems, ensuring their seamless operation and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit expertise in configuring and managing firewalls, switches, virtual machines, and servers.
- Address Layer 3 (L3) networking challenges and undertake advanced system management tasks.
- Diagnose and rectify complex network issues to ensure peak performance and reliability.
- Maintain high standards of network security and connectivity, protecting the integrity of our infrastructure.
- Set up, test, deploy, and support IoT devices, ensuring they integrate smoothly with the network.
- Provide L3 support for managed network and IoT devices to guarantee effective operation.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects to design and implement robust, scalable network solutions.
- Keep accurate records of network modifications, configurations, and updates for thorough documentation.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in configuring and managing network infrastructure.
- Proficient in networking protocols such as IPSEC, HSRP, IGMP, OSPF, 802.11, and QoS.
- Possession of relevant enterprise certifications like CCNP, CCIE, CWNA, ECSE, etc., is beneficial.
- Strong background in cloud deployment and architecture.
- Willingness to travel within Canada for network support and collaboration.
- Experience in server hardware setup and configuration.
- Knowledge in IoT, including architecture, security, hardware, sensor technology, and more.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities.
- Preference for candidates with experience in the construction industry.
