What We Offer:

The Greater Toronto Urban (GTU) division is a pivotal growth sector for Mattamy Homes Canada. Within a short span, this division has established a strong multi-residential portfolio and a robust development pipeline, poised to introduce thousands of new condominium suites across the Greater Toronto Area.

The Senior Vice President of Product Design will report directly to the Division President and will be a visionary leader with a proven history of cultivating high-performing teams. This position is crucial in strategizing and executing community plans while developing innovative product offerings that align with the evolving preferences of homebuyers. The role encompasses supporting acquisition evaluations, overseeing pre-community design processes, collaborating with community teams during pre-construction, and managing the selection and sale of upgrades through the Design Studio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the product design segment of community visioning, establishing essential design parameters and amenity requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to document project design and product specifications.
  • Assist in selecting key design consultants and communicate product standards for project specifications.
  • Guide and mentor high-performing teams, providing constructive feedback.
  • Develop standardized project specifications aligned with corporate branding and market needs.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and integrate innovative features into product design.
  • Evaluate the feasibility of upgrade options in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams for market research, engaging with development, sales, and marketing.
  • Stay informed on political, regulatory, and market trends affecting the industry.
  • Promote a culture of service, safety, and respect among employees and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Architecture, Business, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Over 10 years of progressive experience in managing complex projects, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in the architectural, development, or property management sectors.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities at the senior management level.
  • Proven track record in executing long-term projects with diverse stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience collaborating with consultants, architects, and regulatory authorities.
  • Proficient in technology and ERP systems, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with integrity and leadership qualities.
  • Innovative mindset with a keen awareness of market trends and customer preferences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Familiarity with building codes, drawings, and site specifications.
