Chief Environmental Product Strategist

Markel Canada Limited is in search of an exceptional leader to oversee our Environmental product division. The successful candidate will possess over 10 years of experience in insurance underwriting, with a strong emphasis on Environmental underwriting for at least 5 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and execute the strategic vision for Environmental products in partnership with essential stakeholders.
  • Articulate, communicate, and achieve objectives set forth by the Senior Vice President - Underwriting.
  • Provide direction, guidance, and support to underwriting teams to ensure the implementation of industry best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple departments to achieve profitability goals and address client requirements.
  • Assess and adjust underwriting authority as necessary.
  • Oversee the product portfolio through ongoing Portfolio Management.
  • Design and deliver product-specific training for underwriters and support personnel.
  • Engage with Claims, Actuarial, and product leaders for comprehensive results analysis.
