Job Summary:

Nordex Group is seeking a highly skilled Regional HSE Officer to join our team in Canada. As a key member of our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and stakeholders across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on HSE matters to senior management and operational teams.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement training programs to promote a culture of safety and well-being.
  • Represent Nordex Group in external forums and meetings to promote our HSE policies and practices.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry associations to stay up-to-date on emerging trends and best practices.
  • Manage and coordinate HSE projects and initiatives to ensure timely and effective delivery.
  • Provide support and guidance to HSE Construction Site Officers, Service HSE ISO Auditors, and Service HSE Site Officers to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline.
  • Advanced degree or certification in a relevant field, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or a related designation.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a corporate safety department, with a focus on industrial safety and risk management.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective HSE policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management, operational teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to think critically and analytically, with a focus on identifying and mitigating potential hazards and risks.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to adopt a culture of safety and well-being.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
