Job Summary:

Nordex Group is seeking a highly skilled Regional HSE Officer to join our team in Canada. As a key member of our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on HSE matters to internal stakeholders, including branch leadership and operating teams.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with HSE standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement safety training programs and initiatives.
  • Represent Nordex Group in external forums and meetings, promoting our HSE values and standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders to stay informed on HSE trends and best practices.
  • Manage and coordinate HSE projects, including risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain HSE metrics and reporting to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Environmental Professional (CEP), are highly desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a HSE role, with a strong background in regulatory compliance and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate HSE risks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
