Position Summary

The Regional Business Development Director plays a key role in overseeing the daily operations and development of a world-class team of Director Consultants within their region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the region's annual business plan, focusing on growth and profitability.
  • Lead and motivate staff to achieve maximum efficiency and improved performance.
  • Set and manage growth targets, fostering a success-oriented, accountable, and positive environment within the region.
  • Collaborate with executives to develop and implement effective business strategies and processes to achieve sales, profitability, and business objectives.
  • Report on regional performance to the President of BNI Canada.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness throughout the region.
  • Manage and execute special projects as assigned.

Team Development

The Regional Business Development Director is responsible for implementing BNI business strategies with a team of Director Consultants, including:

  • Hiring, training, developing, coaching, motivating, appraising, and performance managing DCs within the region.
  • Collaborating with DCs to drive success measured in part by Membership education, development, growth, and retention.
  • Motivating and leading DCs, reflecting company core values.
  • Scheduling, planning, preparing, and facilitating regional, Chapter, team, and local events within the region.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Fluent bilingual skills (spoken and written).
  • Proven leadership ability, with a focus on fostering mentor relationships.
  • Customer-focused approach, with a desire to build rapport and long-term relationships.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and possessing verbal, written, multi-tasking, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team to successfully achieve company objectives.
  • Strong understanding of performance management principles and experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.
  • Computer knowledge and skills, including Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions

The Regional Business Development Director will work in a sedentary environment, with occasional travel to local Chapters.
