Role Overview

As a Creative Design Lead at Mediabistro, you will be an innovative thinker and a master of your craft, understanding the nuances of branding and design. Your role will involve producing exceptional work that exceeds client expectations while leading a team of designers. You will be instrumental in shaping design strategies and ensuring the delivery of high-quality creative solutions. Reporting to the Creative Director, you will collaborate closely with your team to develop original design concepts that address client challenges in unique ways.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and mentor junior designers, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills.
  • Conduct design reviews to ensure alignment with client objectives and strategic goals.
  • Oversee the creation of logos and design systems across various media platforms.
  • Design original visual content, including illustrations and infographics, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Ensure consistency in branding and layout across all materials, proactively planning to meet client deadlines.
  • Evaluate design solutions to effectively communicate messages through visual elements.
  • Manage budget considerations and communicate any potential overruns to relevant stakeholders.
  • Defend existing design concepts while remaining open to feedback and new ideas.
  • Analyze data from various sources to identify opportunities for effective visual representation.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure the accurate implementation of designs in digital environments.
  • Maintain a focus on usability, accessibility, and adherence to web standards in all design work.
  • Lead the development of presentations, clearly articulating visual concepts to stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Sketch; familiarity with other design tools is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to present ideas effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Enthusiasm for integrating technology and innovation into design processes.
Experience:
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in a creative agency environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading design teams.
  • A portfolio showcasing a range of completed design projects is preferred.
