Executive Director, VCH Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain Partnerships

The Executive Director plays a pivotal role in enhancing supply chain efficiency and effectiveness at Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) and its affiliated health authorities. Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President of Corporate Services, this position is tasked with the formulation and execution of strategies aimed at optimizing supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure optimal supply chain functionality and resource allocation.
  • Formulate long-term strategic initiatives and develop executive performance metrics.
  • Serve as a representative of VCH within governance frameworks.
  • Oversee enhancements in product quality and procurement methodologies.
  • Lead evaluations of distribution processes and conduct benchmarking analyses.
  • Collaborate with governmental bodies to shape procurement regulations.
  • Execute financial and workforce strategies.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to team members.
  • Propel transformational initiatives through innovative approaches.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of 10-12 years in senior management roles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain dynamics, logistics, and capital management.

  • Expertise in strategic sourcing.
  • Proficient in conflict resolution and negotiation.
  • Strong business insight and relationship management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership capabilities.
