We are currently seeking a dedicated professional to join our team in the role of:

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT SPECIALIST

The ideal candidate will be a proactive team contributor with excellent communication and organizational abilities, responsible for the following key tasks:

  • Oversee and facilitate the continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives within the Assembly and Molding Departments.
  • Lead and manage the Cost Reduction Plan (CRP) projects from inception to completion, focusing on process enhancements and lean methodologies while minimizing costs.
  • Coordinate the evaluation and setup of workstations, machine cycle times, and continuously seek improvement opportunities through a collaborative team approach and lean principles.
  • Maintain a steadfast commitment to safety and ergonomics, ensuring ongoing improvements.
  • Analyze and recommend strategies to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Identify and implement innovative technologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide support to the Quality department in addressing customer concerns and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop strategies for the efficient utilization of materials, equipment, and personnel, including the creation and delivery of necessary training programs.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment by engaging cross-functional teams during planning and review processes, involving all employee levels.
  • Exemplify professionalism and the ability to make informed, timely decisions to inspire others.
  • Ensure awareness and understanding of ISO 14001 and IATF (including ISO 9001) standards, as well as company policies and procedures among all employees.
  • Guarantee that all team members adhere to local, provincial, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Uphold a clean and safe working environment at all times.
  • Assist colleagues as needed to promote a successful operation with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Industrial and/or Mechanical Engineering or a College Diploma in Industrial and/or Mechanical Engineering is required.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Automotive Management or a related field, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in the Plastics and/or Automotive Industry or a comparable sector.
