Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Clerk to join our team at Fraser Health. As an Administrative Support Clerk, you will provide administrative support to our staff and clients, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to staff and clients, including word processing, data entry, and record management.
  • Answer calls, receive and direct visitors/clients, and respond to inquiries.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and courier documents.
  • Operate standard office equipment, including fax machines and photocopiers.
  • Place purchase orders with external suppliers and maintain petty cash.
  • Perform staffing and timekeeping duties, including calling in relief staff and tracking hours worked.
  • Process service authorizations and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 and Office Administration Certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year of recent, related experience.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures and medical terminology.
  • Business writing skills and ability to type at 45 wpm.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain rapport with clients.
  • Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
