Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. This is a Casual opportunity to support Public Health operations in Chilliwack, B.C.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Reception Services: Provide exceptional customer service by answering and directing phone calls, receiving visitors, and responding to routine inquiries.
  2. Administrative Support: Type technical and non-technical documents, maintain filing systems, and process incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and courier documents.
  3. Meetings and Events: Arrange meetings, special functions, and events, including booking meeting rooms, arranging catering, and sending invitations.
  4. Office Operations: Operate office equipment, maintain stationery and office supplies, and perform general timekeeping functions.
  5. Client Intake: Assist with client intake, including scheduling appointments, obtaining client information, and completing required documentation.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Grade 12 diploma and an approved Office Administration Certificate program.
  • At least 1 year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
