Key Responsibilities
  • Market Intelligence and Research: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to develop a thorough understanding of the market landscape. Formulate business plans using various sales arguments and tactics in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Competitor Analysis: Research and analyze key markets with sales and customer service team members to acquire market intelligence and competitor information.
  • Business Development Initiatives: Identify opportunities to drive business development initiatives via multiple channels and lead action plans that result in new meetings and/or new business while measuring results/ROI.
  • Event Planning and Management: Schedule and attend conventions, conferences, and tradeshows, identifying attendees, preparing engaging displays and collateral as needed, and providing post-event reports and analysis.
  • Competitor Database Management: Develop and update a detailed competitor database.
  • Market-Based Information: Obtain, maintain, analyze, and communicate market-based information for the purpose of promoting intelligent decision making.
  • RFPs and Business Review Presentations: Manage RFPs and quarterly business review presentations.
  • Service Innovations: Assist in the design and execution of service innovations.
  • Annual Sales Meeting: Plan and participate in annual sales meetings.
  • Brand Management: Assume brand manager functions across all media while developing plans that increase awareness in existing and new markets.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, management, or commerce.
  • Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in strategic business and market development.
  • Skills: Analytical and detail-oriented with a creative flair. Comfortable in front of a crowd and/or a prospective client. Innovative thinker with a strong understanding and appreciation for differentiation. Proven storyteller with impeccable writing skills and the ability to create content. Thrives in a fast-paced environment. Client-oriented and committed to excellence. Strong problem-solving skills, ability to identify root causes and find win/win solutions.
  • Language: Perfectly bilingual (English and French; written & spoken).
  • Organizational Skills: Well-organized with an emphasis on prioritization.
