About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Panda Pod Hotel. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Registration: Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Group Arrivals and Departures: Process group arrivals and departures, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and guests are aware of hotel facilities and services.
  • Room Reservations: Take, cancel, and change room reservations as needed, maintaining accurate records and communicating with guests and staff as required.
  • Guest Information: Provide information on hotel facilities and services, as well as general information about points of interest in the area.
  • Departure Process: Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Clerical Duties: Perform various clerical duties, including faxing, filing, and photocopying, as required.
  • Communication: Answer telephone calls and relay messages, as well as assist clients/guests with special needs.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required. Temporary employment is available.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
