About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Pizza Pizza. As a key member of our restaurant operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff

Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all food is prepared and served to the highest quality standards.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that staff are equipped to perform their roles effectively.

Manage Inventory and Supplies

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and ensure that inventory levels are maintained to meet customer demand.

Lead by Example

Model excellent customer service skills and lead by example, ensuring that all staff provide a high level of service to customers.

Manage Budget and Reports

Prepare budget and cost estimates, and prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis.

Address Customer Complaints

Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that all issues are resolved to the customer's satisfaction.

Maintain Records and Reports

Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports to management as required.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.

Work Setting

Restaurant environment.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, physically demanding, and attention to detail.

Work Term

Permanent.

Work Language

English.

Hours

32 to 35 hours per week.
