About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Morrison Cafe Inc. as a Head Cook. This is a permanent position, working 32 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation

Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes of our customers.

Chef Management

Lead and train a team of cooks to ensure seamless kitchen operations and high-quality food production.

Inventory Management

Oversee the ordering and inventory of food, supplies, and equipment to maintain optimal kitchen efficiency.

Food Safety and Quality

Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Cleanliness and Maintenance

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.

Certifications

Safe Food Handling certificate.

Working Conditions

This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Language

The primary language of work is English.
