Director of Strategic Planning

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to join our Strategy and Improvement portfolio. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors to create, deploy, and maintain the organization's strategic framework.
The Director will provide leadership and guidance to foster a culture of accountability and transparency, supporting the organization in developing and achieving its strategic objectives. They will oversee the development and implementation of the annual strategic plan, manage and deliver approved business cases and provincial transformation initiatives, and lead the organization's continuous improvement program.
The Director will also be responsible for developing and implementing the organization's enterprise risk management framework, including its risk and control registers. They will work closely with senior leadership to create, deploy, and maintain the strategic framework pertaining to Analytics.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's Level Degree in a health-related discipline, health administration, or related subjects, and registration with a relevant health or professional discipline/college or association. They will have 5-8 years of experience in a relevant field of expertise, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
The Director will lead a skilled team of managers, consultants, and analysts accountable for delivering assigned projects and initiatives, including transformation and continuous improvement. They will work collaboratively with the Director, Quality, Patient Safety & Patient Experience and the Director, Health Information Services to promote and support the development of a culture of safety and identify opportunities and strategies for improvement.
This is a Management/Non Union position. Preference is given to bargaining unit employees for unionized positions.
