The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to join our Strategy and Improvement portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our annual strategic plan, overseeing the management and delivery of approved business cases and provincial transformation initiatives, and developing and implementing our continuous improvement program.

The Director will work closely with our Executive Leadership Team, Directors Council, and Board of Directors to create, deploy, and maintain our strategic framework. They will provide leadership and guidance to foster a culture of accountability and transparency, supporting the organization in developing and achieving its strategic objectives.

The Director will also oversee the development of our enterprise risk management program framework and provide bi-annual reports to the Board of Directors. They will work in collaboration with our Director of Quality, Patient Safety & Patient Experience and Director of Health Information Services to promote and support the development of a culture of safety and identify opportunities and strategies for improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of our annual strategic plan
  • Oversee the management and delivery of approved business cases and provincial transformation initiatives
  • Develop and implement our continuous improvement program
  • Develop and maintain our strategic framework
  • Provide leadership and guidance to foster a culture of accountability and transparency
  • Oversee the development of our enterprise risk management program framework
  • Provide bi-annual reports to the Board of Directors
Requirements
  • Master's Level Degree in health-related discipline, health administration or related subjects
  • Registration with relevant health or professional discipline/college or association
  • 5-8 years of experience in relevant field of expertise, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role
  • Expert content knowledge in key areas of leadership responsibility
  • Expert knowledge in field to critically analyze evidence-based practices to inform strategy development and organizational planning
  • Evidence-based collaborative problem solving of complex multifaceted issues
