The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to join our Strategy and Improvement portfolio at IWK Health Centre. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping and implementing our strategic framework, driving business growth, and improving patient outcomes.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in strategic planning, leadership, and governance, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful strategies that drive business results. You will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in the development and implementation of our annual strategic plan, as well as overseeing the management and delivery of approved business cases and provincial transformation initiatives.

You will also be responsible for developing and implementing our continuous improvement program, including leading and facilitating priority LEAN improvement projects. Additionally, you will be accountable for developing and implementing our enterprise risk management program framework and for developing bi-annual reports for the Board of Directors.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's Level Degree in a health-related discipline, health administration, or related subjects, with a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a relevant field of expertise, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role. You will have a strong understanding of quality improvement methodologies, strategic planning, and systems thinking, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
